Organics
Many people are interested in organics nowadays. This is because of the massive backlash there has been against the chemicals used in the production of food. These chemicals are being linked to hundreds of problems people experience that have only become widespread since the early 1900s.
To meet the definition of “organics,” there are guidelines that farmers and makers of products must follow. If an organic product is coming from an animal, not only does the product have to be free of chemicals, but the animal has to have been fed on products that are organics as well. They also cannot use hormones or antibiotics on the animals. Organic plants must not have any synthetic fertilizers or pesticides put on them, and the farmer’s land management must promote soil building.
While some organic practices are more difficult to keep up with than conventional methods, it really pays off for everyone. The farmers are held in higher regard, their land and animals serve them better, and they make more money in the long run. The public is better off as well because organic products are better for them. Organics is the food production method of the future.
